Group 10 and 17 represented Hervey Bay Special School at the Hervey Bay Schools EATSIPS day.
The 2 groups visited Torquay State School to participate in the local celebration of  how local schools are embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives (EATSIPS) into the curriculum.
Students saw work done by early year’s students at Torquay State School and were fascinated by the costumes worn by Urangan Point School and Torquay State School dancers.  Both schools are coming to visit us on June 14 for our indigenous activity day. So the whole school can see their performances.
We where also treated to a lovely morning tea made with lots of traditional ingredient’s including coconut damper, lemon myrtle biscuits  and kangaroo curry!
